Comments: I think you should better close this website. There isn't any initiative in this site since you started it. Balkh is one of most developed provinces. It is unique in reconstruction efforts and elimination of poppy cultivation and women's rights. There is a lot to be said about the cultural and economic development of Balkh and its districts and cities specially Mazar-i-Sharif, Hairatan, Khulm, etc. However, you do not reflect any positive changes in your site. you can talk about its glorious past and its positive future prospects. People expect a lot from this website, but you are not doing any efforts for the improvement. Nawid
Admin reply: I would appreciate any material or contribution to reflect and portrait Balkh's current development.

Comments: Visited Balkh in 1976, on a day trip from Mazar i-Sharif. I remember it as a lovely quiet town, with lots of ruins. I felt awed by the antiquity of this city which was once home to Zarathustra and Rumi.
Thank you for creating this web site. It would be nice to see more photos. I think I may have one or two from my visit but, if so they would be on slides.
